Today was another “train the trainer day.  Isn’t my trainer awesome!  She lets me run her through workouts too!  I think that’s pretty cool.

Since Friday was her Arms day, we made Saturday Arms day.  Time to fire your guns!

First off, we did a 15 min warmup, lots of cardio stuff, which I TOTALLY stole from my free Nike phone app.  Thanks Nike!  15 min of 3 rounds of: alternating froggers, burpees, squat holds, squat jumps, 2 feet lateral side hops from plank, tuck jumps.  This kicked Leslie’s butt, but also woke her up.  I already know she only gets stronger as time goes on.  Marathon athlete!

Then it was time for arms!

Triceps first.  We did 4 heavy sets of closegrip dumbbell presses, then 3 sets of dumbbell skullcrushers, then a slow negative set of straight bar pushdowns, then 7 sets in a row of pushdowns.  In between sets I had her keep flexing and stretching her triceps.  Unfortunately, I am an idiot and was so focused on the training that I forgot to take pictures.  Training is hard!  You are so focused on the client that you totally zone out from whatever else is going on.

However, I had her show off the triceps right after.

Then time for biceps!  In between all sets Les is to keep stretching and flexing the biceps.  Make room for the blood to get in there so we can get the pump going!

We did 4 sets of heavy hammer curls across the body.

Then 2 sets of incline curls, with some occasional pauses at the bottom of the motion to twist the weight back and forth 🙂

Then a slow negative set of cable curls.  Then 7 sets of single arm cable curls, going back and forth arm to arm with no breaks!  Awesome!

Doesn’t she look awesome?  Sweet arms!  I wish more girls would hit the gym hard, look at what you can accomplish!  And guys, I hope you feel bad.  Get off your butts.  hahaha
