Feb 8 – High Fats Day / Arms

Day after Carb day is pretty awesome also!  I was determined to do my Arms in the morning before low carbs sets in… but then the bed was SOOOO warm and I was SOOOO sleepy… didn’t make it to the gym til Noon.  F it, time for Armz!

Superset Seated DB Curls and DB Skullcrushers (30 s rest)

35s x 12 / 30s x 12

Preacher Curls and French Presses (30 sec rest)

notes:  Gym was busy so I improvised.  Found a weight that was slightly TOO heavy for me to hit the full range of reps, and worked on that, keeping short rests.

Superset Incline Hammer Curls and One Arm DB Extensions (30 sec rest)

notes:  Left arm slightly weaker than my right, needed to pause for a few seconds on those last extension reps!

Superset Closegrip Cable Curl and Straight Bar Pushdowns (rest unknown, prob a little over a minute)

notes:  I had to share the station with TWO other dudes, so I don’t know how long the rests were, but we took turns and we both moved at a quick pace, so it wasn’t an enfuriating experience, just hectic.

Finisher Standing DB Curl Dropsets

notes:  I had all the DBs all lined up on the rack so I could do this one perfectly, had them all ready, and as I worked my way down to the 25s… someone had grabbed them without me noticing (I was pretty focus on trying to curl those damn weights)!  So I spent 30 sec looking for another pair of 25s, and by that point it wasn’t a dropset any more it was my normal rest, so I got PISSED.  I just banged those last 5 reps out and SLAMMED the 25s back into the rack.  I went to go put all my dumbbells back in their proper spots… and someone had now squirreled away with the 45s!  WTF??!  OK sure, I didn’t need them any more… but…

I got really pissed.  So mad that I was supposed to do some bench dips but instead I clenched my fists and my teeth and went for a walk back to the changeroom to catch my breath.  Grumpy cat!  Don’t touch my goddamn weights.

I called it a day in the weight pit and went to do some cardio instead.

Another day in the bag!  Anyone else here run into some gym anger problems recently?  It can’t be just me.
