Time to challenge myself this week and see how heavy I could take it!  My goal was 165,  Always good to have a goal 🙂

 

Overhead Press

warm-up (no rest b/w supersets) Superset press and roto cuff work

45 x 5 / over & backs w/ resistance band x 8

55 x 5 / ob8

main (2-3 min rest b/w sets) superset press and widegrip pulldowns on the free cable machine

90 x 5 / Widegrip pulldowns 105 x 5

100 x 5 / 115 x 5

115 x 8 / 115 x 5

notes:  Started to tip forward on the last set and had to stop.  I think it was the oly shoes, haha.

 

joker sets (2-4 min rest b/w supersets) supersetting presses and pulldowns again

150 x 2 / 115 x 5

165 x 1 (push press)

notes:  I ran out of gas JUST before 165!  So close… The first time I failed, I took 45 sec to regroup, then tried again but could only get in one with lots of leg drive, no strict reps happened.  Oh well!  Good try!
